My name is Karen Bleier and I am an ordained Humanist Celebrant endorsed by the Humanist Society’s Celebrant Endorsement Committee. This means that, while not affiliated with a church or religious organization, I am recognized by the State of Virginia as an “authorized clergy member” when it comes to solemnizing marriages.
As a humanist, I perform secular, non religious wedding ceremonies, as well as other life cycle ceremonies. You do not need to be a humanist for me to officiate your wedding ceremony.
I became a Celebrant because I feel that a couple should not have to join a church or profess any sort of faith in order to have a meaningful ceremony. I will work with you to create a ceremony that is a reflection of you and your partner and your love for each other.
I was born in Newport News, but I've lived in Virginia Beach for the past 20 years. If I can be of assistance in helping you find the right venue for your celebration, please don't hesitate to ask.
